This week has witnessed an unprecedented turn for the momentum of climate change. Lee Zeldin, a Trump-appointed head of the E.P.A., has made moves for the E.P.A. to deny fundamental scientific findings that prove the existence of climate change.
This would completely forfeit the government’s power to regulate carbon emissions in our atmosphere, all in what is said to be an effort to save consumer’s gas money.
Trump is destroying our planet. Not only will this proposal delay regulation over the next 4 years, but future administrations (if attempting to fight climate change) would have to work around our government’s current denial of climate change. We don’t know exactly what this may look like at the moment.
That is why, now more than ever, we need you. We are calling all writers, no matter your age, background, or story to write.
